Thanks for that ... I'd stumbled across some record in this search recently where a person lived or died in Greene, NY, and I'd noted but skimmed over it not having seen that town name before.
Obviously it's near Chenango or someone would not have been transported there to be buried. (Unless maybe it was winter, heh.)
Oh, I just found a great map at www.roadsidethoughts.com/ny/chenango-forks-map.htm and have been happily exploring it for about half an hour. If you zoom in you'll see lots of cemeteries listed. I just followed the Susquehanna River in some detail all the way down to Wilkes-Barre, seeing trail names, cemeteries and little towns and roads many of which struck a chord in my memory re another ancestral line. You might enjoy tracking the Squires line along those "roadsidethoughts" tracks!
