Millard Fillmore Starbuck was a younger brother to my GGGrandmother Martha Jane Starbuck, who was George & Jane B. Martin Starbuck's first born in or near what is now Greensboro, NC. George's first wife was Anna Macy. (They had no children that I could find).George left Nantucket due to the work shortage during the whaling industries decline.Martha Jane m. John Wilfong II and the entire family moved to Washington County, IN. Including, George.
John II & Martha Jane Wilfong are buried at Saltillo, IN in Washington County, IN near Salem, IN. John II & Martha Jane moved on to Iowa where they raised their family and taught school. After retiring as teachers John & Martha J. returned to Saltillo IN for their remaining years. It is belived at that time George returned to NC.Some of their offspring including my GGrandmother, Edna Jane Wilfong O'dell soon followed them back to IN.Edna Jane's first husband, George H. O'Dell deserted her after their first child ( a son ) was born. The son, Clarence died before his first b-day in Iowa.Edna Jane returned to Saltillo and later m. Marshall Gipson in Mitchell, IN. just west of Saltillo. They are my Great grandparents.
