Diane,I read previous postings regarding correct lineage for the Wyatts.
You have some info on Capt. John Wyatt and Anne Hart Stark that could possibly straighten out this family tree for me.
From the book, A History of the Pioneer Families of Missouri . . . .by William S. Bryan and Robert Rose, pub Bryan, Brand & Co., St. Louis Mo, 1876.First on pages 223-224 and second entry page 225 seemed to confirm the information from "The Gentry Family in America 1676 - 1909, by Richard Gentry, Grafton Press, NY, pub 1909" (1) Frank Wyatt of Montgomery Co., Ky., father of Captain John Wyatt, was born in North Carolina about 1757 (his father was John Wyatt of that state). (2) There was also a John Wyatt, who settled in Warren Co., Mo., at an early date. He was a Revolutionary soldier and drew a pension. After the war he settled first in Lincoln Co., Ky., and afterwards in Missouri. He was a first cousin of Frank Wyatt of Montgomery Co., Ky., father of Captain John Wyatt of Mis- souri, and his father's name was Frank Wyatt, a brother of John Wyatt, both of North Carolina. This Frank Wyatt of North Carolina, born about 1738....."
The Revolutionary John Wyatt(h/o Mary "Polly" Pearl/Pearle/Purle) and the Capt. Johy Wyatt, War of 1812, ( h/o Attossa Pickney Sharp)are related.Francis Wyatt, Sr. 1755-1824(h/o of Ann Elizabeth Haden)is a first cousin of John Wyatt the Revolutionist 1759-1855 meaning their fathers - Francis (wife unknown) and John (wife unknown) were brothers.
I'm trying to figure the full names of the fathers.(Was Francis and John just the names they were known by?) and their wives name.
Please have the time to help.I thought the father of Francis Wyatt, Sr. h/o of Ann Elizabeth Haden was possbly John Wyatt h/o of Anne Hart Stark but then I couldn't find a connection of another Francis Wyatt Sr father of John Wyatt the Revolutionist.
