Thanks for the info. I'll look at it very closely.
I come through John D. Watt(s) and Nancy Steele. (Despite what some might say, this John Watts is not the one who was living in Lincoln Co., TN. That was John Walter Watts. Mine is John Davidson Watts.) From what I've been able to piece together John D. Watts is related to the Iredell Co., Watts. Just how is the next hurdle to jump. From what I can gather from family lore, John and Nancy Watts went to Mississippi for a spell (Tishomingo Co.?) where John died in an accident. It appears that the young widow Nancy, witha house full of kids, remarried a much older man named Henry Forrester. I thought he was the Henry Foster in Giles Co., TN, but recently I've begun to have my doubts. I now think he was a Forrester, not a Foster.
It's been a long and arduous journey, and the only thing that broke through the proverbial brick wall was a yDNA test. There's still much research to be done.
