I'm looking for family members of brothers, Luke Eby Steiner and Paul Eby Steiner. Luke was a revered professor of chemistry at Oberlin College, author of a number of textbooks, and one can still find references to his teaching and mentoring on Oberlin College's web site.
Paul Eby Steiner, who never married, was a pathologist, who had a prodigious scientific output, and wrote a series of articles on Civil War Medicine. He was first in Chicago, and the moved to the University of Pennsylvania.
Both men were the sons of Menno Simon Steiner, a Mennonite minister around the turn of the Century, who also wrote and lectured in the Midwest, and who died from "Bright's disease" according to an obituary in the Gospel Herald.
I've acquired some information about these two men, and would be interested in contacting those interested in their lives.
