I am not researching this family, just entering information from the booklet "History of Cedar Run" by C.E. Nair, 1948; written for the Rockingham County Historical Society:
"Samuel Stepp came Shenandoah City (?).He was a blacksmith....Stepp had George, Sarah Jane, Samuel Jr., Nettie, Isaac, Hiram, Robert, Letus. J.P. Miller bought the farm after Stepp's decease.Clinton owns the estate at present."
"Isaac Stepp, son of Samuel Stepp, built a house on a lot opposite his father's house. After a few years residence there he sold to Christ Mason and moved near Cootes. He was a blacksmith and a jolly fiddler."
