Peggy,
Argatha was definitely the daughter of James Jefferson Stigall and Almira S. Fish.Argatha was my Great Grandmother.I was raised about 5 miles from her gravesite and have been there several times.I have her obituary and I'm almost POSTIVIE that I have the obituary for "Grandma Joslin" (Missouri Joslin).I'll try to find it and let you know.Argatha and John WIllie must have been married in Garrard County.I have copies from her family bible and according to entries, Maude was born in Kentucky (March 26, 1882)and there may have beem another child born (January 14, 1880) to this marriage prior to Maude. The name appears to be "Mary"but I cannot make out the name positively nor do I find any other information for this child. She was listed in the 1880 Garrard KY census as being 5 months old.She was not listed in the 1900 Tx census. The 1900 census shows that Argatha had 13 children (8 living). The 1900
census shows JW and Argatha had been married 21 yrs, so they must have been married around 1879.I was told George Conn (born 1877) was just an infant when his father (Argatha's first husband) was killed. If he was born in 1877 to her first marriage, and Mary(?) was born in 1880 to the second marriage, the 1879marriage estimate fits.
Hope this helps.
