It appears I have my Daniel MCCOSHEN wives mixed up.This was pointed out to me by a researcher at the Michigan forum and I'm glad it was. This MCCOSHEN surname has me in a spin because of the colorful misspellings over the years.
Let's try this again.
I'm guessing Daniel MCCOSHEN & Agnes STLOUIS married circa 1870, but I'm not sure where. I have searched and searched through Drouin and can't locate them. So I'm thinking maybe they married in Michigan. And the reason why I feel that way is because their son, Daniel, was born in Benton, Cheboygan, MI in 1881. And Daniel, Sr. had three sisters living in Michigan.
Joseph Donell "Daniel" MCCOSHEN, b. May 26, 1847; bapt. St-Anne's RC June 6, 1847, Grand Calumet Island, PQ; d. unkn, poss. 1884, Cheboygan, MI.
Parents: Roderick MCCOSHEN & Elisabeth NESBITT
Agnes STLOUIS, b. abt. 1854, Canada? or Michigan?; d. Feb. 3, 1887 (age 33), Cheboygan, Cheboygan, MI; bur. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Benton, Cheboygan, MI.
I did find some other information today, but nothing on the marriage of Daniel McCoshen and Agnes St. Louis.
Their son, Daniel MCCOSHEN (Jr) married Julienne "Annie" LAFRENIERE, Sep. 11, 1905, St-Pierre, Fort Coulonge, PQ.
Daniel was born Dec. 28, 1881, Benton, Cheboygan, MI. He died June 14, 1918 (age 36), Pembroke, Renfrew, Ont., bur. Fort Coulonge Cemetery.
I don't know when or where Julienne was born or where she died. But I know her parents are Richard LAFRENIERE & Caroline NEVEU-HUBERT. And I found a second marriage for her today.
Julienne LAFRENIERE mar. Philias LAGACE, Aug. 3, 1925, St-Pierre, Fort Coulange, PQ. His parents: Andre LAGACE & Domithilde BERTRAND. His former wife, Albina ROMAIN, predeased him. I found one child born to this union, Fred LAGACE mar. Etta GILLIS, Mar. 30, 1937, St-Pierre, Fort Coulange, PQ.
