Index to Wills, Lancaster, PA 1729-1850 (LDS Film) Bk J) Jane Simmons left their care to her father Robert Stockton.

Wade Hinshaw Quaker Records, Vol. 3, pg 17, Sadsbury MM Records; David Stockton m Elizabeth Smith 28th of 5th month 1752, daughter of James Smith and Alice Smith of Lampeter Twp. with consent of parents; Davis was received into membership of Sadsbury Meeting, Chester Co., PA in the 10th month, 1747. His parents were Robert and Isabel who both died FEB 1747; another brother George m. Jane and d. MAR 1748 (old Style). Jane later married William Dun after condeming her "outgoing in marriage", so George did not join the Quakers. Brother Thomas m. Margaret Fleming and died 1795 in Mercersburg, Franklin Co., PA at his daughter, Elizabeth Waddell's home;Brother Robert m. Sarah (Keith) Fleming and moved to Frederick Co., VA; Brother John m. Elizabeth Aldredge and resided in Maryland being the ancestor of Governor Thomas Stockton. Robert's son, George m. Rachel Dorsey and founded Flemingsburg, KY.
