Cory,I can give you a little info about The Stonehouse of Western Canada. The line of the Stonehouse branch that I belong to actually has their roots in Springhill Nova Scotia. At that time there were six brothers. (This is around the turn of the century (1900)). Three brothers remained in Eastern Canada and three went west. My grandfather who was only a small child at the time was one of the sons of the three brothers that went west. One brother is believed to have stayed in the Kingston area (Where I actually reside - although I was born and raised in BC). One brother stopped in and around Winnipeg where he operated a dairy farm and the other, my great grandfather, Levi Stonehouse moved to Vancouver. Levi had two sons, Claude and Headly Stonehouse. My grandfather was Claude. He pasted away around 1974. Claude had one son, my father Charles Alan Stonehouse, and Headly had one son, Donald Stonehouse. Donald only has two girls. That leaves my son and me. I have a 2-year-old son, Alexander Jacob Allen Stonehouse. We are the continuing males from Levi, the one that went all the way west. If you know of any relations to Nova Scotia or a dairy farm in central Canada I would be very interested.
