Oh! I know where Alexander Stoneking and his wife are buried -- they are in Union Chapel in Astoria. In 1840, 1850 and 1860 they were in Morgan Co., Ohio according to the census. In 1850 Asa Stoneking is also in Morgan Codon't know what the relation is, if any.
By 1880, the Stonekings are in Fulton Co. Alexander died 28 Dec 1887 at age 84 yr 11 mo and his wife Sara died 28 Oct 1884 at age 77.
Their daughter Elizabeth (wife of John Swan)predeceased them - dying 03 Nov 1876 and is buried in Ipava Cemetery. Thir son James died in Cumberland, MD during the Civil War, and their daughter Edith Matilda died 27 Feb 1879. She is also buried in Union Chapel.
I have no information on the youngest son, Jenius b 1847. The eldest son, John married Sara Church in Noble Co., Ohio, not sure if he stayed there or not.Their daughter Hannah was married to Ananias Archer and living in Starke, Indiana in 1880.
I am most curious as to how Alexander Stoneking fits in with the other Stonekings. Maybe someone will uncover a clue one of these days!
