I have located some of George Norise Stonum and Elizabeth's grandchildren. They have to be the children of either William or Samuel Stonum that both died in Missouri.Because of the first names of the children I think they may belong to #15 William Stonum rather than Samuel Stonum who married twice. These children are found living with the families of my two Newby brothers, Jeremiah Newby and James Newby, who married two of the Stonum girls, Elizabeth Stonum Newby, and Nancy Stonum Newby respectively. In the 1850 Clinton County, Missouri Census the children I found used the name Stoneham instead of Stonum...and it was easy to figure out because Elizabeth Phillips Stonum was also found in 1850 Census living with one of her daughters who married a Newby. Here are the children's names:Polly Ann b. 1838, age 12, b. MO; Jane b. 1840, age 10 b. MO; James N. b 1842, age 8, b. MO; Martha Ann/Mary Ann b. 1845, age 5, b MO; William b. 1848, age 2, b. MO.Let me know what you think. When either Samuel or William died it looks like their mother must have died also because the kids were put in the homes of sibling sisters.
