It is interesting that this subject has surfaced because another researcher and myself had previously questioned the fact that perhaps James Storm had married earlier.
My ancestor John Storm [1809-1835] was the eldest son of James Storm. He married Sarah Morgan in Whitley Co., KY and came to Shelby Co., IL with some of his Storm relatives. The following is some of the info that I had found about possible earlier marriage or marriages.
Since my ancestor was born before the 1810 marriage and there are six years between him and his next sibling, I have been searching for a Boyles connection.
There is recorded a marriage record for a James Storm and Easter Boyles, 26 Apr 1808, Clark Co., KY, identity not known.Later Clark Co., KY records recorded marriage record for Joel Storm and Polly Palmer, surety, William Palmer, 12 Jan 1835 and also a record for Joel Storm and Catharine Harris, daughter of Elijah Harris who gave consent, witness, James Harris and surety, Henry Cook, 30 May 1840.This Joel Storm was the son of William Storm who was a half brother to James' father John Storm.
The following is from Shelby Co., KY.It is known that Isaac Storm, a half brother to James Storm's father John Storm, was married in Shelby Co., KY in 1803.
