As for your attention you snooze you loose.
As for the pension records, when I was publishing the newsletter, Irene (Parrish) Baker had done research on every Statler/Stotler she could locate to try and make a connection to her Parrish family. She sent me her notes.Including:
Military Bounty Land , Widow's Pension, from National Archives:
Rudy(Rudolph) Statler(sic) and wf Fanny of Allegheny Co.Pa.
Military Service 1775-1778 reached Captain rating. Lancaster Co.
To Allegheny Co. after service.
Married Fanny Bush 7 May 1799 in All. Co.
Total of 11 children, all of whom married and moved away except Myers B age 45 in 1855.
Myers B. never married but took care of his mother and the farm.
Affidavits by Myers B. show:
Only 7 of the 11 children were living in 1855:
Daniel a son "my brother"
Henry Statler, "my father's nephew"
Emanuel Statler, "My father's nephew" m. Elizabeth Bowman 11 june 1799.
Now there are a few minor problems with the above, Rudy's probate records mention he had 16 children and names 15.According to info at Ancestry.com on Rudy Stotler,Myers did marry later than 1855 and had two children. And Rudy served way past 1778 according to the PA Archives.
But I don't see how Henry and Emanuel could be Rudy's nephew's unless he was the brother of their father, Jacob d. 1790 Franklin County PA.
