Children of Rudolph from probate records.Petition of Daniel May 30,1829 I have a photo copy it says "Statler". Catherine (md to Henry Statler), Daniel (petitioner), Rudolph, Andrew, Eleanor, Martha(md to Jacob Petit), Samuel(since deceased, unmarried without issue), Leah(md to Daniel Baer), Abraham, David, Nancy, Myers, Matilda, Emanuel, and Jacob (last four minors)
I count 15 in my list and yours am I missing something? I don't have Elizabeth and you don't have Jacob.
I believe there were more children from the first marriage. In the 1800 census the year following Rudy's marriage to Fanny The numbers are males 01201 and females 11200 Males Rudy over 45 2age 16-26 1 age10-16 Females Fanny and one more16-26 1 age 10-16 1 under 10 Unfortunaly I don't have numbers for 1810. But I believe the list I gave is in birth order putting Rudolph Jr. in the first marriage. I also believe he used the name Richard as he appears in the 1810 census same location, and I have a deed abstract that names Richard as a son of Rudolph.
All. Co Deed 66-324 17 May 1843 records heirs of Rudolph Stotler, decd of Wilkins Twp 1. Joseph Stoner and Nancy his wife (daughter of Rudolph) 2. Myers B Stotler (son of Rudolph) 3. Henry Stotler by purchase from heirs of Richard Stotler (son of Rudolph) 4. Emanuel Stotler Jr.(son of Rudolph) 5. Jacob Stotler(son of Rudolph) other heirs who sold rights not named.
So Rudolph Jr/Richard was dead by 1843.Richard is only found in the 1810 census. There is a Radolph Stotler in 1820 Bedford County. age 26-45, no other males and females 1 age 16-26 and 3 under 10.
Some day I may get to the land records in Somerset and Bedford County and solve a few mysteries.
About the pension it was applied for by the widow who must have met Rudy in Allegheny Co. but Rudy was in Franklin County in the 1790 census.
