Just wanted to point out something that I see people recording in ERROR....Hannah Stover born 1795 the daughter of Johannes Stover and his wife Jemima Hicks was only married once that I can see- to Frances Lattimore. They were married March 9 1813. Hannah died on June 5, 1845- this info is found in the John Collins Clark diaries (for Ernestown) as transcribed and published by Linda Corupe:
Francis Lattimore of Clarke Township lost his wife Hannah, the daughter of John Stover, Sr. on June 5, 1845.
This Hannah was NEVER married to Benjamin Boice or Boice- the Hannah who was married to Benjamin Boice was Hannah nee McLaughlin or Laughlin, daughter of Alexander Laughlin (1756-1822) and Mary Snider. Hannah was born Nov. 19, 1790, died Nov. 25, 1822. Benjamin Boyce died March 7 1848. I don't know what the source is for those dates of death but they are very clear in the Sullivan Burgess family files, and must have been found somewhere.
The reason people mix up the two Hannah's is because the Hannah Laughlin who married Benjamin Boice on October 13, 1814, was the widow of Martin STOVER born Aug. 20, 1785, died Jan. 28, 1814 either from injuries or disease contracted during the War of 1812. Martin Stover and Hannah Laughlin had three children: Mary, Jacob and Adam- I have no idea if she had children with Benjamin Boice- does anyone have that info?
Russ Waller's work is a goldmine for all of us, but I see he made a booboo with one of these two women; in his publication "Lennox & Addington County Loyalist Families" Part One, he got his info right with Hannah Laughlen daughter of Alexander (page 250) being married twice, first to Martin Stover and then to Benjamin Boyce, but he made a mistake and recorded on page 443 of Part Two that Hannah Stover daughter of John Stover and Jemima Hicks was married to Francis Lattimore AND to Benjamin Boyce. Perhaps Russ's family can correct that error in future publications?
