Here's what I have:
The 1850 Census available online shows Elizabeth 6 years old as you say.
Article #806, "The Stowes", History Of Houston County, lists Mary Ann Stowe-Rich-Hague with dob and dod not given.
I do not have a Mary Elizabeth in my file, although I have Mary Ann Stowe (1830-1901).
I have two marriages for Mary Ann:to William (Bill) Jasper Rice and to John H. Hague.
Article #703, Lemuel Rice, History of Houston County lists Mary Elizabeth Stowe as the wife of John H. Hague.
In Article #704, same reference, obtained years of birth and death and place of burial. However, the name is listed as "Josephine Stowe."Place of burial is given as New Energy.
The Hague burials in New Energy Cemetery are Mary E., 6/30/1844-11/13/1913, wife of J. H.andJulia, 6/10/1888-11/28/1905, d/o of J. H. and M. E.
John H. Hague, 5/1/1848-3/15/1894 is buried in Refuge Cemetery which is on land donated by John Brown.
Sorry I can't help more.
Please keep in touch!
