William Oliver Stringfellow and Carrie Jackson were my great grandparents. Their daughter, Myrtle Mae Stringfellow Baynes George was my grandmother. She had many siblings who are listed in the family bible that my dad gave to my aunt, Peggy Jo Baynes Price. when my mother passed away. Mother was one of Myrtle's daughters, Dorothy Lee Baynes Ware (1926-2000). My grandmother grew up on Heights blvd. and my mother grew up on Pizer st. in Houston.
My great aunt Carrie Stringfellow (daughter of Carrie Jackson) married George Mitchell who was in the jewelry business. They had one daughter, Carol Mitchell Killian, who owned Killions Milam Florest in Houston. They lived on Milam Street until a freeway was built over their property. They then relocated the Florist business.
Carol owns the bay house by the Kemah Boardwalk that has received so much publicity lately because a huge roller coaster has been built right next to it and is unbearably loud.
