Hello Howard, I find the STRINGFELLOW surname somehow connected to my WEEDEN,WHILDEN,WEELDON/BROWN tri-racial family line for which I am unable to make ANY connections????? Have been at this research for 13yrs and have finally concluded that there is a connection to the RI Indian WEEDENS thru my SC ancestors, tho I have yet to find the LINK. Family lore told of being FPOC coming from England as indentured servants, but I find my ggrandfather, WM LAWRENCE WEELDON, Black, born 1829 SC, was a slave of the WHEELDON/WHILDEN family of Christ Church and Sumter, SC. My ggrandmother was CHARATA BROWN, mulatto, listed as born 1833 NC, altho I suspect VA or RI; fail to find ANY info on either prior to 1870 Wilmington, NC where the family lived until 1910. If of any interest, hope to hear from you. Sincerely, carol wheeldin warren.
