I have a copy of a page which states "Wills From Land Office Records."I don't know where I got this, since none of my ancestors are mentioned.I am not related to any of these people, and have no further information:
"Alexander Stuart, 21 Dec. 1753 - By the consent of my wife Jane I make this my last will.To the heirs of my oldest son Ebenezer Stuart, decd, one shilling seterline if demanded.To my son Zachariah Stuart one shilling if demanded.To my son Robert Stuart one shilling if demanded.To my son James Stuart 23 a. part of plantation whereon I live adj. to my son Roberts land & fronting on the great road.To my son Joseph Stuart 23 a. part of sd plantation adj. son James land & Mary Littlers.To my son William Stuart 50 a. of land as aforesaid, adj. Evan Thomas, junr pat. land & to land where John Jones liveth.To my son Alexander Stuart all the residue of my land with the plantation buildings.To my son James a sorrell roan horse.To my son Joseph a heifer.To son William a heifer calf.To son Alexander a heifer calf.Residue of my estate to be equally divided betwixt my youngest son Joshua & my two daus Mary & Charity Stuart.Exec: my wife Jane Stuart.
