I don’t have the children’s names but I have more information about Elizabeth Sturgis.I believe her to be born Elizabeth Newport (Daughter of Jesse Newport and Elizabeth Long) b. 7/24/1773
“Elizabeth Newport, Successor to her late Aunt, Mary Newport, takes the liberty of informing the public in general, that she still continues to carry on the business of a Pastry Cook, In all it branches, at her dwelling house No. 7, in Norris’ alley. •Then in 1795 from The Aurora General Advertiser 12/2-14/1795- “Elizabeth Sturgis, NIECE and SUCCESSOR of the late Mrs. MARY NEWPORT; Respectfully informs her FRIENDS and former CUSTOMERS, That she continues to carry on the Business of A Pastry-Cook, in all its Branches—and hopes by her attention, to merit the conntenance of a generous public.N.B. Young Ladies TAUGHT, on moderate terms.She has PASTRY always ready made, at No. 62, Dock-Street.Dec. 2”
