The 'John' married to 'Pellina' appears on the 1881 UK census as John T Sturman, born Kings Langley, Herts c.1832.
Their son 'John' (?John Streets Sturman)emigrated to Australia, enlisted in the Australian infantry in March 1916, and was killed in action on the Somme in May 1917. His parents, however, are listed on the CWGC website as 'Job S' and 'Pauline' Sturman of 10 Ladywell Park Terrace, Lewisham.
Thought you might find this interesting, or perhaps a little confusing?!
'John' and 'Pellina'(?Pauline) are my maternal great-great-great-grandparents. Their son Henry William (b.1876)was the father of Albert Henry (b.1896), who was the father of my mother's father (b.1923 and still alive and kicking!).
