I found a letter on genealogy.com in Genealogies of VA Families, Volume III from W. Y. Sturman (William Young Sturman) to his nephew Elliott Sturman. That leads me to believe that Foxhall Sturman, brother of William Young Sturman, had a son Elliott.
It starts out "I have given some extracts from the records of Westmoreland County Court, showing who were your ancestors on your father's paternal side; and I now furnish an account of them on the part of his mother." I can email you pages if you wish. Let me know. My email should be visible if you click my name in this forum. Perhaps we can draw conclusions from this letter.
