I am looking for information on Robert W. Sumners, b. April 1830 in Alabama; d. 1911.He married Susan Flourreed Inman, b. Oct 1840, also in Alabama. They were married about 1857.Both died and are buried in Aurora, Barry Co., Missouri.According to census records and family records, they had the following children:
William Andrew, b. 29 Jul 1864, Giles Co., TN
Clifford, b. Jul 1867, Tennessee
George Washington, b. 16 Jul 1870, Arkansas
Thomas, b. Aug 1874, Missouri
Adolphus A., b. 31 May 1875, Mississippi
James W., b. abt 1876, Missouri
Jackson Monroe, b. May 1879, Missouri
Sudie, b. unknown.
I have been unable to locate them in either Tennessee or Alabama records so far.The earliest documentation I have other than family interviews is in the 1880 census records for Barry Co., Missouri. They are also in 1900 and 1910 census for Aurora, Barry Co., Missouri.
William Andrew married Martha Elizabeth Goodnight and moved to Oklahoma in 1896 where he raised his family and died.
Clifford married Susan Ellis and had at least one child, Milton.Don't know where he went from there.
George Washington married Ida Lorraine Tunnell and had 4 children. He died in 1903 of typhoid in Barry Co.,Missouri.
Thomas married Sirena Lawson and had 2 daughters before 1900.Then I lost him too.
Adolphus married Nettie Rickman.Couldn't find any children, but he and Nettie are buried in the same cemetary as Robert and Susan. He died in 1947.
Don't know what happened to James.
Jackson was still living with his parents in 1910, but don't know what happened to him after that.
I would appreciate any information on their early history and origins
