Not sure how much you know about this family.I find the following:
Samuel Franklin Surrett, b. April 5, 1869, Henderson Co., North Carolina; son of William Surrett and Susana "Susie" Jones (2nd wife). He is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, having died on Oct 2, 1934, from cancer. His wife - Isabelle "Belle" Justus (Justice)Surrett, b. December 1874, North Carolina. They married about 1890 in North Carolina and had children:
1.Mitchell, b. Dec 1891
2.Bessie, b. Jan 1894
3.Jefferson, b. July 1896
4.Dewey William Surrett, b. 17 April 1899, died 14 March 1976, Flat Rock, Henderson Co., NC.
5.Alexander, b. 1906
6.Paul, b. 1912
7.Raymond, b. 1914
8.Tenner Franklin, b. Dec 25, 1917
Some of the sons worked in the hosiery mill about 1910 or so.In the 1940 US Federal census, Paul appears to have married a woman named Daisy, has a young daughter, and living with them is his brother, Tenner, and his mother Belle, in Hendersonville, NC.
It appears that Tenner F. Surrett, age 62, died in Richmond County, Georgia, on May 25, 1980. He served in the Army during World War II, and is buried in Greenville, South Carolina, at Graceland Cemetery. His Army registration card lists his mother as next of kin. He enlisted at Camp Croft, S.C.
