Seeking death date and place for Alexander L. Sutherland probably in New Jersey.Alexander was the son of John and Christine Sutherland and born 30 Jun 1848 in Woonsocket, R.I. John was a stonemason.Alexander's known siblings were Annie, James R. and Lizzie.Alexander was in Wyoming ca 1882 working as supt. of building (stonemason) the Ames Monument near the Union Pacific R.R. in Albany County. He married Alice___and had children:Everett bn Apr 1885, Jessie M. (female)bn May 1887 and Roy E. born Apr 1889 all born in Wyoming.He left Wy. ca 1892 and returned east, working in various states as a stonemason or quarry foreman.In 1920 he was in Boyonna Ward 1, Hudson Co, N.J. age 70.By 1930, wife Alice was a widow living in Westfield Pct. in Union County, N.J.Did Alexander die in Hudson County, or perhaps Union County?Need any data for a documentary on Ames Monument and Alexander's part in the building.Alexander when in Wyoming, was in our first legislature and was one of the group who drafted our first consititution.Please reply asap.Sharon Lass Field.
