I don't know if anyone can prove John Swaim that married the Vickery is a son of John Swaim that married Charity Teague. The Teague association seems to think so.
However, there are other long time published resources, claim that the above John Swaim that married the Vickery is the son of Michael Swaim.
Neither can prove their claims through documentation, so I guess you can say it is a stand-off.
This third John Swaim, I have no idea. Not a big Swaim theorist, past what can be proven in the 19th century.
There seems to be more theory than proven fact before the turn of the 18th century, so unfortunately I have a feeling a lot of the Swaim line will be speculation or best guess.
It won't however, stand up to a Lineage Society standards in proving each step of the lineage (proven birth, death, burial, marriage, parentage, children etc.)
So, unless someone can actually bring forth primary evidence that proves who belongs to who, it's pretty much speculation.
