I am one of the 9th generation of Swart's stemming from Greene/Washington Counties in Penn.Philip no. 1 who came from Germany, traveled to Holland and sailed to America.I don't know who he married, but know he had a son, Jacob (No. 1), and a daughter Susan.Jacob married Susan Evans and is my direct ancestor.Susan married John Phillips and I have no further information about her.Jacob had a son, Philip (No. 2), born 10/02/1797, died 06/18/1876, and eight other children.Would anyone know who the other eight children are?Philip No. 2 is also my direct ancestor.I know Philip2 married Aseneth Walton and they had nine children: John (No. 1), Jacob (No. 2), J. Walton, Henry C., Amos, Sarah Ann, Kezia, Andrew J., and Mary J.John1 is my direct ancestor.John1 married Sarah Huffman and they had 14 children: Asenah Jane, Sarah Ann(No. 2), James Monroe, Philip (No. 3), John Winfield Scott, Mary Louisa, Lavina Summerville, Henry C. (No. 2, who is my direct ancestor), Minerva Octava, Sydna or Sydney Jerusha, William Montgomery, Clara Belle, Walton Ellsworth, and John Lincoln G. or Zely.Henry C. (No. 2) married Ella or Ellen Scott and lived in Athens, Ohio.I don't know how many children he had, but know he had my great-grandfather Johnnie who was born in 1873 and died in 1961.Johnnie married Nora Ellen Altman of Pomeroy and they had 11 children: Edward Arthur, Myrtle "Marie", Grace, Walton, Harry, Henry, Marion Albert(who was my grandfather), Johnnie, Blythe and two female children who died while very young.Marion married Myrna Pauline Brooks of Athens, Ohio and they had five boys: Dwight, James, Roger, Gary and Timothy (who is my father).Dad and I have been tracing the lines, but only have what we've been provided with.I have been able to do some research on the few we do know about, but would love to know if anyone knows more and could provide me with any information.The family lived around Amity, Penn.I know Philip(1) and Jacob, his son, fought in the Revolutionary War and that our other ancestors fought in the Civil War (Andrew J. and Amos.Amos was killed in the battle of Spotsylvania).If anyone could give me further information, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
