Moses, St. Mary's Co., MD, 1765
I own a booklet which is a special issue of the Maryland Historical Magazine, Vol.69, #2, Summer 1974.This issue is about St. Mary's County.
One chapter, by George Miller, is entitled "A Tenant Farmer's Tableware: Nineteenth-Century Ceramics from Tabb's Purchase."Archaeologists worked on this location in 1972
The house was built about 1746."In 1765, Moses Tabb, the Anglican Rector of William and Mary Parish, purchased the house and lands and lived there until he died in 1779.The Tabbs family owned the property until about 1821."
The rest of the chapter is about items found in the dig.I did not see any mention of other Tabb family members.
