I am a descendant of Noah Talcott, through his son, Frederick. An obituary was supplied to me by another Talcott researcher for Frederick. The obituary states that Noah founded the well-known cotton house of N.Talcott & Sons. "After college, Frederick joined his faher, and continued as junior member of the firm until his father's death in 1839."I have further information that Noah was in business with his brother, David. The firm was N.& D. Talcott, and was founded in 1811 and continued under that name until 1819. David moved to New Orleans, and I think that he continued in that busines there. This was from the book by S.V. Talcott, so I assume you know all this by now.
