It took 6+ months to receive the copy my husband ordered as a Christmas gift for me, and it was definitely NOT worth the wait.
The "book" is a comb-bound collection of unsorted notes apparently put together by someone with absolutely no genealogical knowledge.
Think of having 20 or 30 years worth of every loose bit of paper you've collected on a particular line, along with every stream-of-consciousness note to yourself you've scribbled on a stray piece of paper or in the margin of an article you've copied. After your death, someone gathers all this detritus together and publishes it as a definitive work on your line.
The "book" isn't in no way comprehensive. You'd do better to look up old issues of the Taliaferro Times online--the information would be much more accurate.
Sorry to rant, but I was really looking forward to a book of the caliber of The Meriwethers and Their Connections, or any of the books that actually document their work.I won't even donate my copy to the local archives for fear someone might take it seriously.
