I saw your post saying you think Oliver's wife, Elizabeth, is buried in Old Free Church Cemetery.Where did you find that? The Tallman's that I have found buried there are: William Tallman, (grandson of Oliver, son of William) born June 26, 1794 and died Jan. 24, 1849 and his wife Elizabeth (Hardenbrook) Tallman, born Jan 11, 1792 and died Sept 4, 1876 Ellis T. Tallman, son of Ellis Tallman, Grandson of William Mary Elizabeth Tallman, daughter of Martha Seabrook (Tallman) and Israel Williams (Martha is the daughter of William, Jr., son of William)
That would be interesting if Oliver's wife died in 1782.Do you know when Oliver, Peter and Daniel moved to Canada? Also, I was looking closer at Daniel.I don't have much on him. When was he born?I have "abt 1772".I would like to fill in the lines of Peter and Daniel in my files if you have some information you could send me.
I wonder if who would have any older records, Bible records, etc.where do you think they were living when Oliver or Elizabeth died?I know that William's wife, Sarah Mount, died at her son Ellis' house, so maybe the family of Ellis has some papers.I've never tried to track down any family members other than my direct line before.I did have tremendous luck doing this recently in another one of my lines.
Also, I've been trying to research any loyalist sources I can find.I keep coming across a Christopher Tallman whenever I find Oliver.Do you have any info on him?
I also found a Jeremiah Tallman, of New Jersey, who in 1783, with his family, he went from New York to Shelburne, Nova Scotia.Oliver's father, Jeremiah, should be dead by then.Do you have any info on this Jeremiah?Have you come across Tallmans in these areas?
I hope we can work together and fill in both sides of the family.Anybody else who has any information on the families of Jeremiah/Ruth Tallman, Oliver/Elizabeth (Jeffries) Tallman, or William/Sarah (Mount) Tallman, please e-mail me at KCBENT@aol.com
