I think that 'Asael' is actually Samuel; and that his wife, Mary, was Mary A. Drake, d/o Francis Drake. Outside of the baptism of their two children, I see no further reference to Asael. Mary Drake is said to have m. John Tapley; but I see no reason to believe a John Tapley whom she might have married existed. I also believe that this Samuel (not to be confused with his uncle) was the s/o Nathaniel, s/o Alexander Tapley. This is theoretical, but try it out and see if it works for you.
