In regards to: 6. Jonathon Ruble b. 1811 in Fort Rose
(transcribed from ppg. 536-537 of "Geneology and Biographical Skecthes of Descendants of Abraham Tegarden" by Helen Elizabeth Vogt.)
From his family Bible which is in my possession and from his tombstone, his name was Jonathan not Jonathon. He was not born in 1811, but April 17, 1812. The location of Fort Rose if it even existed is unknown, however he was born in Knox County, Indiana. I have searched hi and low, even with the army and other organizations and Fort Rose is not known to any of them.
Since the Wasbash District Baptist Association which was organized the second Friday in July 1909 by messengers from five pioneer churhes in southwest Indiana (ie Bethel, Walbash, Maria Creek, Salem & Patoka) list Jonathan Ruble as a licensed Brethern, I take it that he was already in Indiana at that time. SInce Hannah would have delivered four months after his death, I would guess she was not with him when he journyed to Pennsylvania to settle his fathers estate.
