Need your guidance.Original research identified a Benjamin Tedder who was the father of Harmon, James, Anna, and I believe Hanna, all from Wake County, Nc.It was also stated that this Benjamin was the father of Solomon, which I doubt. Researchers have not been able to identify this Benjamin Tedder.
I descend from Harmon Tudor/Tedder.I took the DNA tests which shows a relationship at 12 and 24 markers to John Tedder whose inventory of estate was read in Surry County, Va in 1721.This relationsip was through John Tudor, son of John Tedder, and brother to Benjamin Tudor who I believed to be the father of Harmon. So far no other descendant of Harmon has taken the DNA test. The DNA also shows a relationship to Henry Tudor of Sussex County, Va. But there was a Michael Tedder who took the DNA test and who I match at all 37 markers which means beyond any shadow of a doubt we have a common ancestor.Michael's genealogy starts with William Tedder who was born near Richmond Va in 1735. His son was Benjamin born in Wake County in 1796, then William B, Kansas Marion, and on down to Mike.I have some doubts on Benjamin being the son of William since there was a 61 year difference in their birth dates. However, could be. But, what intrigues me is that William's Benjamin was born in Wake County, the same as James, Anna, and maybe Harmon. So there could be a son of William named Benjamin who had Harmon, Anna, James, and Benjamin in Wake County or William could have had these children at a late age or William could have had a brother born in 1736 named Benjamin who had the children in Wake. The DNA is so definite that there is no boubt that I am related to this family. So, do you have any information on a Benjamin who was in Johnston County, NC, which later became Wake County? Or any information on any of the Tedders in Johnston or Wake County?
