The Sparcios books contain a complete or nearly complete transcription of each document. They published twenty two books on Loudoun Deed for the time period 1757-1797.
The book I wrote, "Index to Loudoun County, Virginia Deed Books, Books A-Z, 1757-1800" contains abstracts of all the deeds recorded during that time period.I have also written eight additional books of Loudoun deed abstracts, covering up to 1846, with more books planned for the future.By giving the information in abstract form, all the basic information is provided yet more years can be covered in a single book, and thus at a lower cost to the purchaser.Researchers can then use that information to determine which deeds are beneficial to their research to obtain copies of the original record.
I have also written books of abstracts on the Loudoun County Will Books up to 1880, Loudoun Marriages 1851-1880, Loudoun census indexes, abstracts of two Loudoun newspapers from 1879-1919, some Loudoun County Order Books, and other records.I have various titles of similar abstracts published for some records of Jefferson County Virginia/West Virginia, Clarke County Virginia, and Fauquier County Virginia.
No one who abstracts or transcribes records can be 100% accurate.Handwriting is often difficult to read and typing errors do occur.Such references should be used as a guide for obtaining copies of the original court records relating to one's research.Once the original record is obtained the researcher is responsible for the accuracy in using that document.
