I went to the Castle of the Dukes of Brittany in Nantes to see the database about the people who went to Nouvelle-France. This database was created from the couples, people married, get engaged or who had children together. I’ve only found one person called Templet (André Templet) and two people who have names near of Templet (Temple, Templair). If I understand well, you all have a link with André Templet.
A friend of mine told me that people of his town went to Canada or Acadia too but I didn’t find them. So I have some questions : - do you know if some Templets went to Nouvelle-France before André (to fish near the Acadian or Newfoundlander coasts for example) ? Perhaps I didn’t see them because they didn’t marry, get engaged or have children. - Do you know if the Templets of Martinique have any link with André or his descendants ?
When I went to the Castle I had some time, so I noted the ascendants of Marguerite Cécile Leblanc, the second wife of André. I went until Daniel Leblanc (borned in 1626), Jean Gaudet (borned by 1575), Jacques or Jacob Bourgeois (married to Jeanne Trahan by 1643), Françoise Corbineau (married by 1627) and Nicolas Trahan who married to Renée Desloges by 1600.
