PARTIES Robinson WATSON of Stockton, County Durham. Merchant. Ann TENNANT of Stockton, County Durham. Widow. Thomas AIRTON of Stockton, County Durham. Gentleman. Thomas DALTON of Stockton, County Durham. Builder. Thomas Allison TENNANT of Stockton, Country Durham. Merchant (died 1840).
SUBJECT The Indenture begins by reciting the Will of Thomas Tennant (who was the husband of Ann Tennant). He gave all his property to his Trustee, Robinson Watson, who was to sell it (but we are not told what happens to the proceeds).
Robinson Watson is now selling property in Stockton to Thomas Dalton for £26/6//8d. Ann Tennant claims to be entitled to dower out of the premises, but is releasing her dower in this case to enable this sale to take place.
The property consists of a plot of 101 square yards bounded on the West by a street lately called George Street, but now called Farrer Street.
Note that Thomas Airton only receives one mention as a Trustee and appears to play little part.
