The two books I have were privately published by the authors, so you may not find them in many libraries.
The Tennison/Tennyson Family by Faye Tennyson Davidson and Lonnie Tennison. When I last checked with Faye, she no longer had any copies.I got my copy from Lonnie Tennison, 153 Anchoria Way, Colorado Springs, CO 80919.
The Tennison Family of Southern Maryland by Ralph D Smith, 4238 S Peninsula Dr, Daytona Beach, FL 32127.
Briefly, Benjamin Tennison was one of the nine children of Abraham Tennison (1740-1825) and Mary Stevens (1740-1829). Both died in Buncombe County, NC but both were born in St Marys County, Maryland.
Abraham was one of nine children of Absolom Tennison (1700-1768) and Joanna ?Absolom was born and died in St Marys County.
Absolom was one of eight children of Abraham Tennison (1676-1836) and Mary ? Abraham was born and died in St Marys County.
Abraham was one of three known children of John Tennison (1652-1700) and ? John was born and died in St Marys County, MD.
John was one of five children of John Tennison (1628-1682) and Elizabeth ? John is believed to have been born in Holland and died in St Marys County.
I don't have any information earlier than the last John listed above.
This line is very confusing because of the number of Abrahams, Absoloms, and Johns.
