Thank you for this opportunity. I am not an expert on researching. I have had 3 mo's of l day a week at the Mormon Genealogy Dept. The rest I have did my best. I got my computer Xmas of 2008. All of 2008 I went to the library or the college library. I am from Okla. Now living in a rather small town in Calif. to be near my son and his family. I have an aunt by marriage in Okla. City, Ok. that has been recording genealogy before the computers. She sent me up to the 3rd generation of my dad's, father and mother. Up to the 3rd generation on dad's, mother's she has 4th generation: Sterling Gehial Davis 1800 - ? She has his parents: Joseph LaFayette Davis and Nancy Terrell. I have since seen she has gone past to some of Nancy Terrells. So, did I, on One World Tree. I had surgery in Oct. of 2011 and I haven't been on the computer but just every few days for just a short time. I had cancelled Ancestry.com and just signed up for it again last week. They have changed the computer research ways I was doing it. Like I said, It was just my way, and mine alone, the way I was researching anyway. At the Mormon church the supervisor found the main thing I was wanting to find on my mother's, mother's side. Also, I have two books now on that. All packaged, sealed, and delivered. My aunts was all the same way. My mother's, father's side, I did find a lot of distant relatives that we email each. There was one that was ggg grandfather's that I have never found his parents names. But, the others hasn't either. A couple of suppose to be well studied in genealogy have told me who they think his parents were. So, that sent me searching night and day. No luck yet. But, this one on the Terrells I have only what I copied down off One World Tree. But, now since I was last on One World Tree, it has changed, and I can't go back there yet. Maybe it is because the fellow at Ancestry.com helped me learn more about my Family Tree that another person at Ancestry.com had tired to show me how to start a Family Tree. My Tree is suppose to be The Anderson-Caples Family tree. That was on The Anderson Family Tree until I told the one I spoke to the other day that no one would know me just by Anderson. That was a maiden name, but I used Caples since divorced because I want to carry the same name as my son. I know this is long but, what I am trying to say, is that I don't know much about this reserching. I just have to do what I do and try and then ask if I think someone knows. This is such a long story. Before when I researched I took off of One World Tree my 3rd. grandfather: Sterling Gehial Davis, 4th g grandmother: Nancy Terrell, 5th g grandfather: Aaron Terrell, 6th g grandmother: Mary Martin, 7th g grandfather: Zachariah Martin, 8th g grandmother: Letitia Lewis, 9th g grandmother: Elizabeth Warner, 10th g grandfather, Augustine Warner. 3rd 1800 ? - 4th 1784 - 1807 - 5th 1755 - 1814 - 6th 1715 - 1763 - 7th 1690 - 1763 - 8th 1687 - 1716 - 9th 1672 - 1720 10th 1642 - 1681. I forgot to place the dates next to the grandparent. One of these in particular, the 7th and 8th. The dates do not make sense at all. This is long. I have to tell the stories the long way I suppose. You seem to know a lot about researching from what I have been reading and wondered if you could help me if you are not too busy. Thank you very much. Bonnie M Caples firstname.lastname@example.org I hope it is okay to give you my email address.
