I have recently discovered that Cecilia /"Celia" (Teschner) Goldwater (b. 1860) was the daughter of WILLIAM [Wolfgang] TESCHNER, b. Vag Besztercze, Hungary, 1836, d. Manhattan, NY, 6 July 1892, and his wife, CAROLINE (TIROLER) TESCHNER.Cecilia's paternal grandparents were AARON TESCHNER, b. 1806, and his wife, CECILIA (WILHELM) TESCHNER, emigrants to New York City in 1857.
Cecilia's grandfather, Aaron Teschner, was an older half-brother to my great-great-grandfather, Moses Teschner.
Cecilia did not have a sister by the name of Wilhelmina, but she did have a younger sister named LAURA TESCHNER.Laura was born in Sandusky, Ohio, c.1863-64, and was married in NYC on 9 May 1886 to Dr. ARTHUR FISCHMAN, b. Miskolc, Hungary, 1860, son of Joseph A. and Mary (Ernst) Fischman.
So now, in addition to tracking down descendants of Celia (Teschner) Goldwater, I'm likewise interested in finding out more about the family of Laura (Teschner) Fischman.
