Gerry, I haven't found anything about Therese Tessier & John Monigui except their children's marriages which you have already. However, "Monigui" (also spelled Monique, Moniqué or Moniquay)is the name of a Huron family, and I found some information on the first "Monique": Louis Onwaskamha Monique was born in 1760 and died April 7, 1810, at age 50. He was married to Dorothée Kariwaienhne. He was a Huron from Lorette (near Quebec City) who settled in Sault St-Louis (now Kawnawake) at the beginning of the 19th century. I looked over the lists of marriages for Kahnawake and didn't find anything about John (probably Jean or Jean-Baptiste) and Thérèse Tessier. I am wondering if there might not be a connection between your Thérèse Tessier and my gggrandfather Léon Tessier and his wife Catherine Robidoux. I think there might be an Indian connection there also.
