I have a photocopy of the plaque which reads: "THIS BUILDING IS ERECTED ON PART OF THE ORIGINAL CONCESSION TO URBAIN TESSIER DIT LAVIGNE BEING THE 8TH GRANT MADE TO AN INDIVIDUAL IN THE ISLAND OF MONTREAL." The building wasn't indicated. I understood that it was the Bank of Montreal, but I have no reference for this. All I know for sure is that it is in 'La Place d'Armes', Montreal. The photocopy is from the book "Dictionnaire National des Canadiens Francais", Volume 111, Institut Drouin, Montreal, 1965. (page 1900) A check of this book may give you more information (I may have missed something). There is a lot of information in Volume 11, on the Tessier-Lavigne family, but a bit difficult to follow.
