Hi, Jerry,

My grandfather's name was originally David Lee Tessier. He originated in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. He moved to Saginaw, Michigan in the early 1900's.His father's name was Alexander Tessier. We have rumors of a Cathedral that the family built in our history, too.Rumor also says that our arm of the family was excommunicated from the Catholic Church because of a falling out. That is why they changed their surname, to be able to rejoin under a different name.If you have any information, please contact me.I've already been contacted by Pat Baribeau, who also thinks there may be a connection.
