Found them in PRDH and he's listed only as Lavigne, instead of Tessier Lavigne. That's kind of important as there were many families other than the Tessiers who used the dit name "Lavigne". He might not be a Tessier at all. Coincidentally, Marie is listed as Apert Lepine (full would be Apert dite Lepine).
The reference you need to get ahold of is the Loiselle Marriage Index. That's likely to give you much more information than the online resources.
You're also going to find some of your Montrais ancestors using the name "Montreuil".
I found one reference to your family on Ancestry which showed Joseph being born in 1775. There was only one Joseph Lavigne that I found in LDS and PRDH born that year. He was the son of Louis Lavigne and Marie-Francoise Brissonette. His christening was 24 JAN 1775 at Varennes, Vercheres, Quebec. Now there's a lot of corroboration to confirm that he is the same Joseph, but if so he's Louis' son and Louis and Francoise were married in 1768.
Anyway, FWIW there's at least food for thought. But you really need to go through Loiselle at this point to confirm your line. Good luck!
