From Ceci Suhre Ft. Wayne IN library and visiting with grandparents. New information tells me that the parents of Samuel Conner were Caleb and Susannah (Teeter) Conner of Kentucky. "Caleb Conner... was born in Kentucky, and throughout much of his life was employed as a millwright and blacksmith. He was a pioneer of Montgomery Co., IN, where he entered some Government land and improved a good farm. He was a prominent member of the Masonic order. His religious views were in sympathy with the doctrine fo the Baptist Church, of which he was a member. Politically he was first a Whig, and later a Republican, and served his fellow citizens in the office of Justice of the Peace, as well as in other places of trust. He married *[Miss Susannah Teeter, who was of Scotch-Irish ] descent, and they became the parents of seven sons and three daughters." --From the Portrait and Biographical Record of Montgomery and Parke Counties.
Susannah Teeter Grandaughter of Ensign George William Teater and Sarah Pearis D aughter of William Teater and Nancy Ross George Teater, Fincastle Scotlands church of Presbytery in addition to Gov David Campbell of Washintong County vVrginia all named George Teater as Scotchman. If George Teater was a Scotchman then so was his elder brother Capt Samuel Gibson Teater
