Elizabeth Gibson was part of the Durrance Durrant and Walter Gibson clan, Walter appears as the eldest of all the famiy, in addition to being a White Tuscarora signing a Tuscarora lease he was also a Reguator his sister Elizabeth married William Teterton who was the brother of Samuel Teterton or Teeder ect..
Another brother James Gibson had 2 sons Samuel Gibson and James Gibson who lived along sideSamuel Gibson Teaters younger brother George Teater at the Baker s Tract Washington co near the middle fork of the Holston river from 1772 until George and son Samuel went back to Kentucky 1779. Since Samuel Gibson Teater was recorded in Rowan co NC 1766 as Capt Teater. We should assume he was already married to a unknown woman, he joined his uncle Archer Worley in 1768 on the Jaunita river where he married Mary Doddridge at 35 36 years old. it was to unsuall for a Capt of his prestige from the French Indian wars not to have been marriedby age 26 , in fact by the culture it was unheard of. By the revolution there was a George Teater in that area he may have a son of Samuel Gibson Teater from a 1st unknown wife, I would pin the mark right on Wiliam Teterton and Elizabeth Gibson having Samuel born 1st in Tyrrellin 1735 then George born 1737. in any case the Gibson were part Tusacarora but always known as the White Tuscarora., this bloodline gave the Samuel and George the edge on thier famous carriers as frontiersman and ferocious Indian fighters.
