Hello Q there several mores sources and Census records others. Here is one of many translated copies this copy was translated by a cousin a journalist in Tenn. the Overton Co., Tenn. deed books: Deeds C, Page 219
George Teeter and Ester Teeter, his wife, late Ester Totten and former widow of Benjamin Totten, decd, George Hohemer and Easter Hohimer, late Ester Totten, James Totten, Joseph H. Totten, Parris Teeter and Richard Teeter, his wife, late Rebeccah Totten, children and legatees of Benjamin Totten, decd, appoint Benj. Totten our attorney, etc. Rebeccathe wife of Parris Teeter and Esterthe wife of George Teeter. 19 July 1813. Proved in Garrard County, Kentucky., The next question about Samuel. It was Samuel son of George Teater who noted he went into Kentucky 1779 with his father who he named George Teater a soldier of the revolution. this would then mean Sarah Pearis teater and all her children were left behind. The early Kentucky tax lists note George Teater lived with his negro slaves no mention of his family..
Richard Teater was not mentioned on George Teaters will and Charles Teater was also not mentioned in his will. Richard Teater is listed and Parris Teater indicates they could of been twins named after Capt Richard Pearis Parris ect., Many of the inlawsTottens Griffiths Van cCeaves took the name Parris Teater Totten Parris Teater Griffith so on. Also Benjamin Totten did not die in 1796 or earlier he is listed on the 1799 Grainger tax list and the 1802 Jackson Tn tax list.. Benjamin Totton is also on a Orange co NC document 1777 Therfore not the one from new york these people were Tutons Tuttins ect nc branch.A George Teater married a Esther Griffith in 1796 and a Thomas Teater married a Rebecca White 1796 with Samuel Griffith as bonsman in Madison ky.
The maiden Esther Griffith could not have married George Teater sr . He was another 3rd George Teater she was a maiden of the Griffith family. and Ester Totton wife of Benjamin Totton. would not of been a widow until after 1802. Also in 1796 John totton married Jinney Reynolds with George Teater sr as bondman John was previously listed in Greene Tenn with benjamin totton 1783. Benjamin lived alongside George Brock on the Nolichuckey. The brocks were last Cherokee or Redbird line in Clay ky. Most were slaughtered and forced to live as White. One of George Teater s future inlaws took over Redbirds area his name was King David Benge. It should be noted the Reynolds who lived in Grainger are listed as fpc Indians Melungeons ect.
There is still one more possibilty. Sarah Pearis Teater is buried alongside George Teater. Her stone shows she died 1794. If George Teater married a Esther Griffith this Esther was not the wife of Benjamin Totton. It could of been a short marriage and she could of been a sister of Samuel Griffith George Teaters son inlaw. but since Thomas Teater married the same time more likey they were the sons of George Tedder of Dobbs North Carolina being cousins of the Kentucky Branch.
