Residence, Hanahan, SC. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Bessie Iola Thigpen Amerson are invited to attend her funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL, Friday afternoon, April 13, 2007 at two o'clock. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday between six and eight o'clock. Mrs. Amerson was born on December 22, 1920 in Manning, SC, a daughter of the late Thomas Jackson Thigpen and Corrie Gladden Thigpen. She was a member of Remount Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Ann Ashton and her husband, Keith, of Gatlinburg, TN; two sons, Harold Amerson and his wife Sandra of N. Charleston, SC and Randy Amerson of Hanahan, SC; two sisters, Elizabeth Pack of Alcolo, SC and Frances Ardis of Manning, SC; one brother, Arthur Thigpen of Manning, SC; one granddaughter, Joy Foster of Boiling Springs, SC; three grandsons: Tony Ashton of Boiling Springs, SC, Tony Gantt of N. Charleston, SC and Bradley Gantt of N. Charleston, SC; six great-grandchildren: Tanesha Byram, Marly Atkins, Braxton Gantt, Kayla Gantt, Kylie Gantt and Hayden Gantt; four great-great-grandchildren: Skyler Dunning, Maddison Byrum, Kane Byrum and Lena Byrum. She was preceded in death by a daughter Alice Faye Amerson and a son Jacky Wayne Amerson.
