How my old 1965 Ford truck got its name. “Thor!” Thorald Thorsen was born in 1915 and educated in New York City. He is shown in the 1920 federal census in New York City, New York with mom and dad. In 1935 he was 20 years old when he registered for a social security account. At 20 years of age in the mid 1930’s he could be no were but in a New York state collage. Some one who completes 20 years in the military and lived so much of his life in New York City doesn’t get off lightly. I shall always believe he had a collage education and just must have been an officer in the Untied States Navy. He must have served in World War two and in the Korean conflict In 1945 Thorald Thorsen was 30 years old in 1941 he could have been a 25 year old Naval Officer. In just 20 years later Thorald could retire in 1964 at about 55 years of age. In about 1964 Thorald Thorsen went a looking for a horse ranch in Moreno Valley, Riverside County, California. Well the dream retirement was so good for the next 30 years. This is why he bought a brand new 1965 Ford truck. At 80 years of age Thorald Thorsen the old salt dies in 1995. I bought the old black Ford truck from his daughter. She had the power of attorney to could sell her fathers estate. I bought the Ford truck some 11 years ago in November of 1995. The daughter said her dad and brother had restored a 1930 Model A Ford Coupe. I swiftly said I hope it is understood that old 1930 Model A Ford Coupe is going to his son. She said yes that’s the understanding on the Model A Ford so far. Well the 41-year-old Ford truck has been some real fun so far.
